Usui Shiki Ryoho

Have faith in the way things are.
Love the world as yourself
then you can
care for all things."

Compassionate Touch
for the balancing of Body, Mind & Spirit
Usui Reiki is a Natural and Gentle system to support
holistic health. Through the simple laying on of hands on
ourselves or others, Reiki enhances and strengthens the
body's own abilities to restaure harmony between all body
systems and functions.
This kind of energy balancing can be used on a daily
basis to support our vitality, rejuvenate our being and is
safe to use in conjunction with other forms of medical
treatments. The benefits of Reiki are cumulative.
There are no side effects to Reiki; gentle yet powerful
Reiki can help us address the root causes of our
discomforts and illnesses.

Reiki is non invasive and easy to learn.
It can be practiced anytime and virtually anywhere, helping
you help yourself and others release stress,
tension and addictions. Reiki has the potential of
positively affecting us on the physical, emotional and
spiritual levels.
The Reiki Principles

Just for today, don't worry
Just for today, don't get angry
Just for today, be grateful
Just for today, work honestly
Just for today,
be kind to every living thing.

One of the primary effects of Reiki is a sense of deep
relaxation. Beyond restfulness, relaxation is the key that
unlocks the body's innate abilities to heal itself by
improving blood circulation, calming the nervous system,
and supporting deaper breathing. Pain, stiffness, sleeping
disorders, low energy, anxiety and depression are ways our
bodies use to tell us something is amiss... Unreleased
stress builds up in our system and can eventually manifest
as illness, degenerative disease, emotional disorders and
lack of focus that can lead to injury or the feeling that life
is passing us by. Reiki challenges our concepts of health
by allowing us to experience that health is more than being
"dis-ease" free it is a state of vitality.
The regular practice of Reiki teaches us that we cannot
control life around us but that we do have the choice as to
how we let it affect us. We have a choice in the thoughts
we entertain and the words we choose to speak. We learn
that everything is energy: that everything has the potential
to soothe or hurt physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Beyond the apparent separation of our physical bodies
we are all related and by learning to hold a more
compassionate space we help the world around us. As a
System of Natural Health Reiki is based on self care and
has its spiritual roots in Buddhism.
The Reiki Principles
of Balanced Living can become a spiritual path if one so
desires.
As we return to a more peaceful state of being the quality
of our life and relationships become more harmonious.
Reiki is a process.
Somehow one could think of one's journey with Reiki as
the creation of an enigmatic Haiku,
where silence and the space between things
allow the unspeakable to just be
mysterious in it's life giving.

The Body as Garden
in each cell the power of the Universe
for the Eastern mind the Body is seen as
a microcosm of the Earth. The Body is an
ecosystem where health has to do with the
dynamic balancing of earth, wood, fire, air,
water and metal. Each element is an energy
with its patterns of ebbs and flow.
Working with energy one reconsiders core
beliefs that define our reality and opens up
to the possibility that healing one's own
body supports the healing of the planet.

"...while the Earth is a living being, it is in a
process of dying and the forces of nature
are withdrawing from their previous role.
A spiritually awakened humanity must take
up the tasks that were originally the
responsability of such nature forces..."
